The HolidayDiscounter is part of dé VakantieDiscounter, the largest online travel agency in the Benelux. We have recently expanded our operations in Germany and look forward to growing our customer base in this new and exciting market. From our central Amsterdam office, we have conquered the Dutch and Belgian market and we are now scaling up to continue this growth both within the borders of the Benelux, as well as beyond. To make this possible, we are looking for (multiple) German speaking Customer Service Agents.

As a Customer Service Agent at HolidayDiscounter, you are the main point of contact for our customers who have questions or concerns. From supporting our customers in their orientation on a holiday destination to rebooking a trip; you enjoy processing all sorts of questions and requests. Through various channels - telephony, e-mail, chat and social media - you help our customers with the appropriate advice. With your enthousiasm you make an important contribution to the holiday happiness of our customers.
In addition, you are in close contact with our partners, including travel organisations and airlines. For example, you might process customer preferences and pass them on to our partners, handle (flight) changes or cancellations. We are constantly working towards improving our services and you play a pivotal role in this; after all, you are the eyes and ears of the organization. Together we ensure that customer feedback reaches the right department.
As a Customer Service Agent, you will work in a team of around 50 colleagues who are passionate about travel. A “gezellig” department where focused work and fun go hand in hand. Our German-speaking customer service is currently open on weekdays during office hours. The team then works from the office on the Herengracht.
You are customer-oriented, stress-resistant and a real problem solver
You have good communications skills
You have at least an intermediate vocational qualification (e.g. like Mbo in the Netherlands), preferably in tourism or hospitality
You can express yourself well in German, both on the phone and in writing
You can also work well with your colleagues in English or possibly even Dutch
You are available 24 to 40 hours per week
If you have experience in the travel industry and/or have already worked in customer service, this is an advantage
