What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Engineering at Scale: Build and maintain integrations with external suppliers, enabling real-time price comparison across billions of data points. 

  • Innovative Technology: Leverage Scala, ZIO, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to create reliable, high-performance systems. 

  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with teammates, participate in pair programming, and review pull requests to ensure high-quality code. 

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to our culture of innovation with exploration days (10% of your time) dedicated to experimenting with novel ideas and technologies. 

  • Proactive Monitoring: Implement robust logging and monitoring systems (Grafana and GCP logging) to spot and address issues before they arise. 

What We’re Looking For 

We’re searching for a motivated, curious, and experienced engineer with a passion for functional programming and building scalable systems. 

Your skills include: 

  • 6+ years of engineering experience, with Scala as your go-to language. 

  • Solid understanding of functional programming principles (experience with ZIO is a plus). 

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Some familiarity with TypeScript for occasional work on back-office applications. 

  • A DevOps mindset with a focus on quality, performance, and reliability. 

  • A strong learner who thrives in an Agile environment and is eager to contribute to team improvements.
