Dé VakantieDiscounter is one of the largest online travel agencies in the Benelux and does everything just a little differently. From our colourful office in Amsterdam, we work hard to continue growing nationally and internationally in the coming years. To help realize our ambitious goals, we are looking for a Sales & Accountmanager.
What will you be doing?
As a Sales & Accountmanager, you are responsible for the commercial performance of your assigned destination portfolio. Your focus is continuously analyzing sales and performance, identifying opportunities, and taking direct action to improve results. Based on data and insights, you steer your portfolio daily to ensure it remains competitive, attractive and commercially successful.
You work closely with our suppliers to secure strong partnerships and the best possible deals. You negotiate availability, pricing and conditions, with a focus on maximizing performance and securing (exclusive) commercial opportunities that differentiate our offering.
On a weekly basis, you collaborate intensively with the cross-commercial teams, Supply, Revenue Management and Marketing, to identify opportunities, set priorities and align actions. Together, you decide where to focus, which deals to push and how to optimize performance across the full customer journey.
As part of the Supply department, you contribute directly to building and optimizing the holiday offering on our website, ensuring both strong contracting and optimal bookability of your assigned destinations.
In addition, investment planning and business case development (including budgets, ROI and risk analysis) are part of the role, but play a smaller, supporting role in driving overall performance.
What do we ask of you?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree f.e. in Tourism, Hospitality or International Business
Working experience within the travel industry is a must. Preferably in an e-commerce, tech-driven or fast-paced environment
Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience, with demonstrated success in negotiations and commercial steering
Strong analytical and persuasive communication skills and the ability to clearly justify complex decisions
Fulltime available (39 hours per week)
Living within a maximum travel distance of 1 hour from Amsterdam
Willingness to travel for partner visits and international trade events (3-5 times a year)
Fluent in English
